Scopus Users Discussion Group
- The scopus-users e-mail discussion group is now available to our customers. It is a place for users to share solutions and information and is not monitored by Scopus as is support@scopus.com.
- The discussion group runs under shareware majordomo mailing list server software. To participate in the discussion group create two (2) personal e-mail aliases. The first is for majordomo, the administrator of the discussion group and the second is for the actual discussion group.
- The internet addresses to alias are:
-
majordomo@scopus.com
-
scopus-users@scopus.com
- The majordomo alias responds to certain keywords contained in the BODY of an e-mail message; majordomo does nothing with requests in the Subject line of the e-mail. Current administration e-mail messages recognized by majordomo are:
- help
- Retrieves a general help message from majordomo
- lists
- Shows the lists served by this majordomo server. Currently there is only one.
- info scopus-users
- Retrieves general introductory information related to the scopus-users list.
- subscribe scopus-users
- Subscribe yourself to the scopus-users list.
- unsubscribe scopus-users
- Unsubscribe yourself from the scopus-users list.
- who scopus-users
- Provides a listing of everyone currently subscribed to the scopus-users list.
- which {search criteria}
- Search criteria may be your name, e-mail address, some keyword(s).
- Searches all the list[s] subscriptions served by the majordomo server and provides a report on all the lists that the {search criteria} appears in. For example, assuming this majordomo server had ten lists and I subscribed to eight of them, a ``which ronp'' would return a report of the eight lists that ``ronp'' subscribed to.
- Once you subscribe yourself, all e-mails addressed to the alias for scopus-users@scopus.com will be wrapped and resent to everyone who has subscribed to the list.
